Rostock, 2 June 2021 – Due to a good response to its restart A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH will put further ships into service on the Rhine, Danube and Rhône.

Jörg Eichler, CEO A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH: "To ensure that our guests are given enough planning time, we have set the entire schedule for the remaining 2021 season. At least nine of our twelve fleet members will be sailing this year, offering almost all the itineraries planned according to the catalogue on the Douro, Danube, Rhine and Rhône.”

Cruises on the Douro will resume from 16 June 2021 with the 7 night “Douro Experience” itinerary. The A-ROSA ALVA will sail all her planned voyages. In addition, the season will be extended this year, with the last “Douro Experience” departure now taking place on 8 December2021.

Cruises on the Danube will resume from 19 June 2021 with the 7 night “Danube Classics” itinerary. This route will be operated in a weekly cycle until 17 July 2021, running from Saturday to Saturday. The Sunday departures of the 7 night “Danube Classic” on board the A-ROSA DONNA will take place from Saturday up to and including 11 July 2021. All guests of the A-ROSA DONNA have the option to start their trip one day earlier - our service team will contact those affected regarding this. From the weekend 17/18 July 2021 we will once again be able to offer our guests both a Saturday and Sunday departure of the 7 night “Danube Classic” voyage. From 29 June 2021, the Danube Delta and Danube Cataracts itineraries will resume.

Cruises on the Rhine will resume from 27 June 2021 with the 7 night “Rhine Experience Course Basel” itinerary on A-ROSA BRAVA and the 7 night “Rhine Romantic with Moselle” on A-ROSA FLORA. From 13 July 2021, the Rhine fleet will be supplemented by the A-ROSA SILVA and completed on 17 July 2021 by the A-ROSA AQUA.

A-ROSA BRAVA, A-ROSA SILVA and A-ROSA AQUA will sail all their planned cruises this season. The A-ROSA FLORA will take over the 7 night “Rhine Romantic with Moselle” voyage from its identical sister ship, the A-ROSA SILVA, until 13 July 2021. After this, she will set off on new voyages along the most beautiful cities on the Moselle and in the Middle Rhine Valley.

Cruises on the Rhône will resume as of 31 July 2021 with the 7 night “Rhône Route Méditerranée” itinerary and all voyages on the A-ROSA STELLA will be operated as planned from this date on. Guests booked on A-ROSA LUNA have the option to change to the identical sister ship on the identical departure date - our service team will contact booked customers regarding this. It is unlikely that A-ROSA’s river cruises on the Seine will take place during the entire 2021 season. Affected guests will be contacted by the A-ROSA Service Center proactively and chronologically according to their booked departure date.

"The existing demand shows that there is a strong demand to travel in Europe again and discover other countries. That is why we have decided to include trips to the Danube Delta and the Cataracts in our programme. Moreover, in addition to the voyages on the Douro in Portugal, our Rhône cruises in southern France also offer Mediterranean holiday opportunities until late autumn," Jörg Eichler explains. "I am particularly pleased that this year it is possible for us to offer all our unique selling points, which our guests particularly appreciate, right from the start: the A-ROSA buffet, the SPA-ROSA with sauna, pool, fitness room and massages and also our popular Kids Club on the family cruises during the holiday periods," Eichler continues.

The health & hygiene protocol, which has been adapted to the current conditions, is presented on the website www.arosa-cruises.com/river-cruises/company/current-travel-information. In addition to the existing protective measures, a complete testing strategy in case of non-existent immune protection complements the safety first strategy.
