Your holiday is our top priority! That's why our A-ROSA Care Team always keeps an eye on current developments that could influence our cruises. Since events often occur spontaneously – and can also change or settle at short notice – we always inform you as soon as possible about relevant topics on this page.

Fuel Surcharge

The ongoing global conflicts have led to above-average transportation costs. This is why based on our General Terms and Conditions (§5), we are unfortunately forced to transfer part of the increased fuel prices to the guests on all cruises until 30 November 2024. The surcharge is calculated monthly based on the current diesel purchase price. Up to the calculated amount of the brochure price, A-ROSA covers the additional costs by itself. The fuel surcharge will only be added once this amount has been exceeded. If the energy market stabilises and diesel prices drop as a result, no fuel surcharge would be added.

Strikes

Strikes in the public sector or long-distance traffic can have an impact on our journeys. Currently, there are no restrictions due to strikes that we are aware of.

Water levels

As water levels can fluctuate very quickly, it may be possible that itineraries and, if necessary, ports of embarkation and disembarkation will be adjusted. We are in constant dialogue with the port authorities and the respective water management offices along the itineraries. We check the conditions for each river stretch between the respective ports daily to ensure that the sailing can be carried out safely. In principle, a cruise can also operate at lower or higher water levels. Only from a certain point onwards is it not possible to operate a cruise as originally planned.

Ukraine

At A-ROSA, the safety and wellbeing of all guests and crewmembers is always our highest priority. We are following the developments in Ukraine very closely and are in constant contact with the foreign port authorities.

Danube: Our Danube cruises start and end in Austria resp. Germany. On the 18-night cruise “Danube Intensive” short passages on the way to the Danube estuary lead along the Romanian-Ukrainian border. We have therefore decided to slightly adjust this itinerary. The A-ROSA ships will no longer call at Tulcea, but instead at the Romanian city of Constanţa, which is located at the south-western Black Sea coast. Thus, we will bypass the Romanian-Ukrainian border zone and sail exclusively in the Romanian part of the Danube Delta, which is not affected by the current situation in Ukraine. All other Danube cruises will be operated as scheduled.
