Children up to and including 15 years of age travel free of charge when accompanied by at least one (two in Cat. G) supervising adult on Deck 1. From Deck 2 children receive a 30 % discount. Furthermore, children up to 7 years of age accompanied by 2 supervising adults can use a sofa bed free of charge on the A‑ROSA SENA in categories B - D. On the A‑ROSA ALVA, A‑ROSA ALEA & A‑ROSA CLEA children accompanied by at least one supervising adult receive a 30 % discount. The children’s discount is only valid for the cruise itself. For children, our cruise ships are like a giant floating playground. Ship voyages are adventures, and those adventures are best experienced with our Kids Club – together with other children, experienced children´s entertainer and lots of activities, such as ship treasure hunts, a pirate day or a creative atelier. Parents can relax with a clear conscience, in our spa for example, while their kids experience all manners of adventures. And in the evening everyone will find their favourite dish at the buffet even your little gourmets with our special kid’s menus.

The Kids Club is our play and activity area on board with a supervisor present. A place for children to craft, play, explore and make new friends. It offers a fun and varied program tailored to different age groups. The specific program always depends on the conditions onboard; e.g. weather, space, the number and age of the children and teens, and of course on their interests. Children aged 4.5 years and up can participate in our swimming school on board A‑ROSA SENA. This applies to both beginner and advanced courses. It is important that your child is physically healthy and ready to be in the water unaccompanied.
On board A-ROSA SENA, three different course levels are offered – each consisting of six sessions per cruise. All courses are led by a qualified swimming instructor, and take place in the pool on the sun deck, with small group sizes for individual attention.
BEGINNER
For children who have never attended a swimming course before.
- Goal: To move confidently and without fear in the water and to learn the first basic swimming techniques
- Completion: Certificate of participation (not eligible for the Seepferdchen badge)
INTERMEDIATE
For children who already feel comfortable in the water and are familiar with basic swimming techniques.
- Goal: To improve basic skills, stamina, and swimming techniques
- Completion: Possibility of taking the Seepferdchen badge test
ADVANCED
For children who already have their first officially recognised swimming qualifications and would like to move on to the next higher level.
