The A-ROSA Flussschiff GmbH is one of Europe’s leading operators of premium river cruises along the Danube, Douro, Rhône/Saône, Rhine/Main/Moselle, and Seine.

Founded in 2000, A-ROSA began operating in 2002 with just two ships on the Danube. In response to the growing demand for river cruises, the company steadily expanded both its fleet and its itineraries. Today, the distinctive A-ROSA fleet includes 15 ships, each offering extensive services and comfortable amenities that combine the comfort of a hotel with the advantages of cruising. The flagship, A-ROSA SENA, entered service in June 2022. This pioneering E-Motion Ship features a hybrid propulsion system and battery storage, allowing for nearly emission-free and silent docking in some of the most beautiful cities along the Northern Rhine.

Onboard the A-ROSA ships, guests enjoy the Premium All-Inclusive fare, including generous breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets, a selection of high-quality drinks, and access to SPA-ROSA with sauna, massage facilities, and a fitness room. A-ROSA has offices in Rostock, Sydney, and Chur (Switzerland), and currently employs more than 850 people from around 25 nations. Since February 2025, Rolf-Dieter Maltzahn is serving as CEO, with Markus Zoepke, onboard since 2003, as COO. The majority shareholder of the group is the British investment manager Fidera.
