Cologne

Cologne Cathedral is one of the most significant buildings of Christianity to this day. Large windows and slender tracery adorn the walls of this Gothic church. The Gero Cross on the north side of the ambulatory is one of the oldest surviving sculptures from medieval times, while the window designed by Gerhard Richter is one of the most recent additions.

Koblenz

The Deutsches Eck in Koblenz, where the Moselle converges with the Rhine, is a place of historical significance with breathtaking views. The equestrian statue of Kaiser Wilhelm I was originally erected here as a monument to German unity. Visitors can enjoy a wonderful view of the two rivers as they meet and of Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, which towers majestically over the city. Take a walk along the banks of the Rhine or take one of the cable cars that run across the river to the fortress and experience the city from a different perspective.

Frankfurt am Main

The heart of Frankfurt am Main is the Römerberg, the historic square in the centre of the city. Surrounded by beautiful half-timbered houses and the iconic ‘Römer’ town hall, which has been the political centre of the city since the 15th century, visitors are taken back in time. The Zeil is Frankfurt's most famous high street and attracts visitors from all over the world. This lively promenade stretches from the Hauptwache square to the Konstablerwache and offers a wide variety of shops, department stores and boutiques. You should also visit Freßgass', a street parallel to Zeil, which is known for its culinary diversity. Here you will find numerous restaurants, cafés and delicatessens where you can relax and indulge in some delicious treats.

Rüdesheim

The Drosselgasse in Rüdesheim am Rhein is probably the town's most famous alleyway. This narrow, cobbled lane is lined with traditional wineries, quaint pubs and souvenir shops. At night when live music echoes through and the soft light illuminates the alley, Drosselgasse unfolds its extraordinary charm. Try the famous Rüdesheim coffee, prepared with Asbach Uralt and cream, and enjoy the cosy atmosphere. A visit to Drosselgasse is a must for anyone who wants to experience the romantic flair of the Rhine region.
