Families are always on the go. So, it´s not easy to get everyone together and simply spend time in one another´s company. Playing, telling stories, listening, laughing, hugging and enjoying delicious food are the glue that binds families together. We believe that our A-ROSA ships are the perfect place to spend time like this.
Family means adventures every day. Particularly when everybody travels together to explore new exciting places. One such place is the family cabin. This has a generously sized double bed and two high-quality single beds. The perfect place to make your own little retreat or plan your next excursion.
Children 15 years old and under travel for free*
* Children up to and including 15 years of age travel free of charge when accompanied by at least one (two in Cat. G) supervising adult on Deck 1. From Deck 2 children receive a 30 % discount. Furthermore, children up to 7 years of age accompanied by 2 supervising adults can use a sofa bed free of charge on the A-ROSA SENA in categories B - D. On the A-ROSA ALVA, A-ROSA ALEA & A-ROSA CLEA children accompanied by at least one supervising adult receive a 30 % discount. The children’s discount is only valid for the cruise itself. Limited availabilities on all cruises.
The A-ROSA Kids Club
The A-ROSA child and youth care does not let boredom arise.
Delicious favourite dishes, family tables and special surprises await you on all rivers. On board, an experienced host takes care of the youngest. The offer for the Kids Club takes place on selected family ships.
ENTERTAINMENT PROGRAMME:
Design their own T-Shirt, Creative Studio, Pop-Up Cards, Ship Rally, Face Painting, Theme days, such as Pirate Day, Board Games, Painting and Crafting, Different Exercises, Photo and Movie Activities, Ship Newspaper, Children/Youth Show. The specific program always depends on the conditions onboard; e.g. weather, space, the number and age of the children and teens, and of course on the interests of children and teens.

Booking variations with children
Children travel free when accompanied by one adult in the cabin and with the Premium all inclusive rate. Limited allotment.
2 ADULTS AND 1 CHILD
Two cabins are booked. One adult and the child in the first cabin; the second adult in the second cabin.
For the first cabin the adult pays the cabin price (double occupancy) without a single cabin supplement and the child travels for free. For the second cabin the second adult pays the cabin price (double occupancy) plus a single cabin supplement.
Alternatively, if available, a cabin with triple occupancy can be booked. Both adults pay the cabin price (double occupancy) and the child travels for free.
2 ADULTS AND 2 CHILDREN
Two cabins are booked. One adult and one child in each cabin.
The adults pay the cabin price (double occupancy) without a single cabin supplement and the child travels for free.
1 ADULT AND 1 CHILD
One cabin is booked. The adult pays the cabin price (double occupancy) without a single cabin supplement and the child travels for free.

River cruises are a safe way to travel with children. Because of their size, our ships are easily overlooked. Furthermore, the windows in the family cabins and in the cabins on deck 1 cannot be opened, making them childproof. Find more information about family travel here.

There is no age limit on board the A-ROSA fleet. A-ROSA will be happy to provide you with a baby cot. On board the A-ROSA ALVA, A-ROSA ALEA and A-ROSA CLEA, the addition of a baby cot is only possible in the suites. River Cruises are the perfect family vacation because you can collect memories together in the most beautiful cities all over Europe. And to give the adults time for a spa visit, we offer family cruises with Kids Club and childcare on board during the school holidays and at Christmas and New Year's Eve. On the A-ROSA SENA, there is a room also available for children at other times than during family cruises that can be visited under the supervision of a responsible adult.

On A-ROSA SENA and A-ROSA FLORA we have family cabins with plenty of space. On our A-ROSA SENA there are also cabins with connecting doors on Deck 3. On our ships A-ROSA AQUA, FLORA, BRAVA, SILVA and VIVA there are 2 cabins with connecting doors on each deck, which are suitable for families with children.
