In recent years, Rotterdam has become a centre for architecture – its large architect-designed houses testament to the city’s modernity. The 46-metre-high Witte Huis was the first skyscraper in Europe, and there’s no denying that the city’s famous Cube Houses are unique too. The interior of the market hall boasts an 11,000-square-metre artwork made up of panels decorated with images of fruit and vegetables.
