The spectacular scenery, the romantic vineyards and the passing Moselle invite you to a cosy wine tasting in Cochem. The Haxel Winery welcomes you with a young and dynamic wine estate. Sample the delicious wines at a wine tasting and learn all about the philosophy of the winery, as well as how the wines are made.

The second smallest county seat in Germany is one of the most beautiful cities in the Moselle Valley. Cochem’s long history is revealed during a tour of the old town. You walk past the Capuchin monastery, the parish church of St. Martin and the town hall from the 17th century. From the bridge over the Moselle you also have a unique view of the Reichsburg, which towers above Cochem.

On your bike, you can explore one of the most beautiful stretches along the Moselle, where the Moselle flows into the Rhine in a sweeping bend. It is flanked by steep slopes, where the grapes mature for great wines. From the ship, you will cycle to Bruttig-Fankel and onwards across the river directly into the picturesque streets of Cochem. During a stop at the historic mustard mill, you will have the chance to taste some of the 'spicy gold'. Then you will continue to the late-Gothic Cochem Castle, situated on the largest castle hill, from where you can enjoy a spectacular view over the river.

Join us for a private wine tasting in the heart of the Moselle region. The Moselle region is Germany's oldest wine region and is home to the steepest vineyard in the world. After a short drive to a Roman wine press in Brauneberg, you will learn the basics about the most important grape variety on the Moselle, Riesling, from the winegrower himself during a tour of the cellar. Of course, a tasting of the wines is a must. Savour the delicately fruity, delicate wines from the region and talk with the winegrower about the terroir, steep slopes and the new challenges of winegrowing.

This tour will take you past the region’s characteristic steep vineyards, along the picturesque banks of the River Moselle and through some of the area’s most famous wine-producing towns and villages, such as Traben-Trarbach, Kröv and Bernkastel-Kues. The hanging bridge in Wehlen (district of Bernkastel) is particularly impressive.

Bernkastel-Kues has been blessed twice: once with fertile vineyards and once by perhaps the most unique ensemble of medieval half-timbered buildings. Especially famous for the Spitzhäuschen, which has been balancing on a foundation that appears to be much too narrow since the beginning of the 15th century. It is a true wonder that it has not fallen over yet! The Renaissance city hall, built in 1608, and the Michaela fountain in the market square are just as remarkable as the parish church of St. Michael with its more than 600-year-old tower.

During the panoramic ride up the Moselle mountains and through idyllic Moselle villages, you will see mainly green and blue. The colours of the vineyards, the water and the sky are omnipresent. On the way, you will visit a Roman wine press. Of course, a small wine tasting in one of the wineries is not to be missed.

Discover Koblenz's old town in a relaxed and effortless way on this exclusive rickshaw tour. In Koblenz, modern rationality mixes with southern nonchalance. Passing the Schängel fountain and the romantic alleys, you will learn exciting information about the city's history. Of course, the city's landmark is also on the programme: the monumental Kaiser Wilhelm Monument at the Deutsches Eck. Enjoy the first few kilometres of the Upper Middle Rhine not only from the boat, but also by bike. Cycle from Koblenz to Spay, which lies in the centre of the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Stolzenfels Castle and Marksburg Castle sit enthroned on the hilltops and characterise this landscape even beyond the town boundaries. Here you feel very close to the Middle Ages.

The breath-taking cable car ride across the Rhine and up to the Ehrenbreitstein Fortress should not be missed: Behind you the roofs of Koblenz, below you the broad river and in front of you the gigantic fortress Ehrenbreitstein. This adjective is by no means an exaggeration, as you will be entering the second largest preserved fortress in Europe. Prussian King Friedrich Wilhelm III ordered the construction as part of an anti-French military line. Up to 6,500 craftsmen and day labourers were employed. The mighty fortress rises 118 metres above the Rhine and was once the core of the fortification around Koblenz. Together with the Deutsches Eck (German Corner), it forms the northern gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage Upper Middle Rhine Valley. Afterwards we will walk through the old town back to the ship.

If a city tour isn’t quite exciting enough for your children, why not take the whole family to Ehrenbreitstein Fortress, where visitors of all ages can go on journey of discovery. You’ll start by taking a cable car up the hill, which is an experience in itself! Once you’ve arrived, you’ll go on a walking tour that’s geared to young guests and makes exploring and learning fun. There’ll also be plenty for you to enjoy, including breathtaking views from the Fortress across the mouth of the Moselle and the city of Koblenz.

Discover the financial and banking capital Frankfurt am Main and its green surroundings in comfort by e-bike. Pass the Main Tower and the beautiful old opera house and head into the countryside. Past Solmspark and over the Lohrberg, the destination is the Main Applehaus, where you can taste a glass of freshly pressed apple juice. Enjoy the view over the Frankfurt skyline while surrounded by the orchard meadows. After a short break, you can comfortably return to the ship via the Lohrberg and the Museumsufer.

The skyline, its old town, apple cider - Frankfurt does not fit into any one category. And that's great, because contrasts are exciting. This combination of a city walk and a bus tour takes you to modern boulevards and along the mighty bank skyscrapers, to the quaint district of Sachsenhausen with its apple wine taverns and the historic Römerberg (Roman Mountain). The eponymous 'Roman' has been the city hall since the 15th century. No less impressive is the Baroque Hauptwache (Main Guard House), the Old Opera and the magnificent neoclassical rotunda of St. Paul's Church.

From the ship's berthing place, you walk to the high bank of the Main, where the Pompejanum, the world's only replica of a Roman villa from Pompeii, stands in the castle gardens. Walk through the park to Johannisburg Castle, one of the most important palace buildings of the late German Renaissance. Marvel at the enormous four-winged complex, which was built between 1605 and 1614. Afterwards, explore the old town, pass through winding streets and the collegiate basilica of St Peter and Alexander, the only church in the world dedicated to St Peter and Alexander.

How is a book actually produced? And since when have books been around? Answers to these and other questions can be found on a trip through time to Mainz in the 15th century. At that time lived Johannes Gutenberg, the inventor of printing. You will get to know where he lived, worked, who gave him money and who made his business plans more difficult. You will also see two original Gutenberg Bibles. Books that are several hundred years old. You will experience how a book is printed during an exciting demonstration at the printing press.
