Arrival and Departure 2026
Arrival with the A-ROSA TGV Package
Train travel with TGV or ICE, including seat reservations, is available on designated trains that must be booked in advance and used as scheduled. Prices are subject to availability in the relevant booking class. Please note that seats may be available but not necessarily at the advertised special rates. Direct connections cannot be guaranteed. Children up to 5 years of age travel free of charge but are not entitled to their own seat. Children aged 6 to 14 travel free within Germany when accompanied by an adult; on the French section of the route, they pay half fare.
In all trains to and within France, it is mandatory to label all luggage with your full name. For operational reasons, train doors in France may close early, and trains are often removed from departure boards two minutes before the scheduled departure. Please make sure to board at least two minutes before departure.
TRANSFER FROM HOTEL TO SHIP
If you are travelling with the A-ROSA TGV package, you will arrive one day before embarkation. Upon arrival, please make your own way to the Radisson Blu Hotel. On the day of embarkation, you will be picked up from the hotel around 1:00 p.m. Once all transfer guests have arrived, the group will walk to the transfer vehicle at the station. Depending on the number of guests, this may be a coach, minibus, or car. Some waiting time may occur. On disembarkation day, return transfers to the station will be arranged in the morning, and details will be provided on board.
Arrival with individually booked train
For guests arranging their own rail travel, we recommend taking a taxi from the train station to the ship and back. Depending on the station and traffic conditions, travel time is approximately 5 to 20 minutes each way. Costs typically range from € 10 to € 25 per trip. Surcharges may apply on certain days.
On the day of departure, our A-ROSA team will be happy to order a taxi from the ship to the station for you at your own expense.
Cruises in 2026
Prices include round-trip travel with the French high-speed train TGV to/from Lyon in cooperation with Deutsche Bahn (German railway company), plus one overnight stay at the Radisson Blu Hotel Lyon including breakfast.*
*The TGV to Lyon can only be booked in combination with a pre-cruise overnight stay. Prices for single or multi-bed rooms available on request.

Travelling to Lyon by private car
Car Parking in Lyon
If you're travelling to Lyon by car, our local partner (LRC Solutions) offers parking at the Parc Berthelot garage for the duration of your A-ROSA cruise. Payment is made on site via your onboard account. The parking garage is located approximately a 10-minute walk from the ship’s dock.
Maximum vehicle dimensions: length 5.10 metres, height 1.90 metres. The parking contract is concluded between the customer and the parking garage operator.

Important: All vehicles entering the low-emission zone in Lyon require a "Crit’Air" environmental badge. The badge costs € 4.80 (as of 2025) and can be ordered from the French Ministry for the Environment via this link: https://www.certificat-air.gouv.fr
Luggage Service
If you’d like to have your luggage sent ahead to the port of departure, TEFRA Travel Logistics offers a convenient door-to-ship and return luggage service.
This service is available for embarkation and disembarkation ports in Passau, Vienna, Cologne, Frankfurt, Nuremberg, Lyon, and Paris.

A-ROSA scheduled flight arrangement
- Scheduled economy-class flights with Lufthansa, Eurowings, Austrian Airlines, SWISS, Air France, KLM, TAP Air Portugal or a comparable airline. Please note that your booked flight may be operated by a partner airline under a codeshare agreement.

- Transfers between airport and ship are included in Lyon, Paris, Porto, and Vienna, provided arrival is on the day of embarkation and departure on the day of disembarkation. Please note: Transfer times from the airport to the ship are aligned with the earliest possible check-in time on board. Depending on your flight's arrival time, this may result in waiting times at the airport.

If you have booked your flights with A-ROSA, you will receive your personal file key and detailed flight schedule – including flight numbers and times – with your travel documents. The number of available seats is limited. Prices are subject to availability in the relevant booking class and may change due to fuel surcharges and airport taxes. All details and prices listed reflect the status as of print (May 2025) and are subject to change. Flights may be direct or include one or more connections. AIRPORT CHECK-IN
We recommend using the online check-in option on your airline’s website. This allows you to go straight to the baggage drop-off counter at the airport and avoid waiting at the check-in desk. Online check-in times vary by airline – for example:
TAP Air Portugal: 36 hours before departure
Air France: 30 hours before departure
Lufthansa: 30 hours before departure
AIRPORT - SHIP TRANSFER
After collecting your luggage at Lyon Airport, please proceed to the local agency representative who will be waiting for you just after baggage claim. They will accompany you to the transfer bus.
Luggage trolleys are available for a deposit of € 1, which you can use to transport your bags to the buses. The bus stop is located either at the terminal exits or at the TGV station.
Please note that the airport transfers to the ship are coordinated with the earliest possible check-in time on board at 3:00 p.m. Depending on your flight's arrival time, this may result in longer waiting times at the airport. Our transfer buses usually transport guests from several different flights. The on-site staff will provide all relevant information.
The airport is located approximately 25 kilometers from the ship’s dock. The transfer takes around 45 minutes.
All information regarding your return transfer from the ship to the airport – including luggage tagging instructions – will be provided by the A‑ROSA team on board in good time before your departure.
