Danube Cruises from Passau
Due to extensive renovation work being carried out by Deutsche Bahn on the Nuremberg–Passau railway line, there will be significant travel restrictions on the Nuremberg–Regensburg section from 6 February 2026.
To ensure that you still have a comfortable and hassle-free journey to and from your Passau with Deutsche Bahn, we are offering an exclusive A-ROSA rail replacement service. This service runs without stops and takes you directly from Nuremberg to the ship in Passau and back. This way, we can ensure that your journey starts smoothly despite the restrictions.
The A-ROSA rail replacement service will be offered for all cruises departing from/arriving in Passau in March, April and May 2026. Information on all other Danube cruises in 2026 will follow. The timetable has been adjusted so that the current daily departures are listed on bahn.de.
A-ROSA Rail Replacement Service from/to Nuremberg to Passau without stops
Departure times are coordinated with train schedules. When booking the A-ROSA rail replacement service, please plan your arrival and departure to/from Nuremberg for 12:30 p.m.

Deutsche Bahn Rail Replacement Service
You can also travel to Passau by train using Deutsche Bahn's rail replacement service. A bus will run between Nuremberg and Regensburg for the duration of the train line closure. From Regensburg, you can change to a regional express train to Passau. Please note that it is possible to book a transfer to and from the ship from Passau railway station via A-ROSA.
