Old Town

The Römer
The Römer has been Frankfurt's town hall since 1405. This building has therefore been the seat of government for over 600 years. It is not only one of the oldest town halls in Germany, but also one of the most beautiful. This makes the Römer one of the most important landmarks of the metropolis on the Main.
Main Tower
This building is one of Frankfurt's highlights. The Main Tower of the Landesbank Hessen-Thüringen was opened in 2000. A visit to the Main Tower can be worthwhile for those interested, as it is the highest viewing platform in the city. The building also offers exciting cultural highlights and culinary experiences.
Städel Museum
The Städel Museum offers an impressive selection of European art history. The collection includes over 3,000 paintings and over 100,000 drawings. These range from the early 14th century through the Renaissance, Baroque and classical modernism to the present day.
